Vicar Liz be in town on the weekend of May 12 and 13. Come to worship, meet Liz, and get to know her before she begins her year-long internship at Zion later this summer!
Hello people of Zion! I am so excited to have a chance to learn and grow with you as your new Intern! I figured before I got there, I should let you know a little bit about me. My name is Elizabeth Koerner, but I prefer to go by Liz. I was born and raised in the city of New Britain, Connecticut and am very proud of that upbringing. I was raised in a two parent household, my dad working as a Senior Product Engineer at Carling Technologies, and my mom has worked in the window treatment industry for many years, most recently at Porter Preston for about the past 15 years. I have one brother, Dylan, who is a music educator in Connecticut. I also have 2 cats and a dog back in CT who I love very much. I was raised in the ELCA at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Bristol, Connecticut. I discovered my call to ministry around the age of 12 while I was in 6th grade. I love to learn people’s stories and walk with them through both trials and triumphs. For fun, I enjoy crafting of many kinds, reading, spending time with friends, and I am a lover of all things tie-dye and rainbow and the combination of the two! I am excited for the next step in my journey toward ordained ministry in the ELCA, and I look forward to learning about the family you all have at Zion and about your stories. Peace and Blessings, Vicar Liz
